I didn't build the car to do light to light racing, the people I hang with mainly do all hwy pulls so thats basically what the car was built for, lag is the least of my worries...if it becomes that big of an issue i'll just set the 2 step up on the aem and that will take care of that in the launch dept!
If I wanted a fast spooling turbo then I would have have kept the 67DBB Turbo I sold to 1JZ300, but that obviously isn't what i'm after.
I wanted to make what I have work, its not worth me dishing out $1800 for a 4row FMIC to gain 20rwhp, it doesn't add up apples to oranges IMO, but thats just me. Thats my personal experience from being and owning a supra for the last 6 years.
I'm not trying to turn this into a pissing match so thanks again for the compliment BTW.
Sorry for the thread jack but as Val said there isn't much light to light racing around here, outside of the track none of us don't go to any organized street racing events and race from a dig, the majority of pulls happen on the highway. He basically built his setup for that. I used to worry about lag too but it really is overated unless you race from a dig a lot and in that case a 61mm will be better. Val has obviously built a top end highway car while my plans will be more of a mid power setup so I'll probably go with a DBB67. Now that I think about it I will have one of the smallest turbos with a 67 in our little crew we roll around with around here
