I pulled my 97 sc 400 from tampa with a u haul f-150 and a u haul trailer like the one above and I had to lie and say it was a civic hatch because they would not let me tow even a es300 on it .The truck struggled towing a huge trailer with the sc on it .The dolly will take alot of stress off the truck.

4.3L is good enough to tow a car... and you own a truck... stop listening to the luxury ******* and do the damn thing...
I wouldnt even waste time unbolting the driveshaft... although it is easy, just a bit messy... put the sucker in neutral, have some of ur friends with you and push it up on a flatbed... not a flatbed truck... a flatbed and tow as usual.
Its an extra 6 feet or so of framework and 2 extra wheels... weight ~ 25-45 extra pounds.

haha... ya... cuzz tow truck services always take such great care in transporting a car... 90% of tow truck guys... and i have a few friends who work for tow yards who have told me this... hook it up knowingly incorrect, just to save themselves the extra 20 mins of struggle and back ache because they know theyre not going to get tipped most of the time.

i towed using an explorer i rented, they wouldnt let me connect it to the explorer, since U-Haul has there rules.
So we got an Astro van with a hitch, he told us what are you towing. I told him a civic. Got the tow bed to the explorer hooked it up and drove 1200miles. But I think the explorer is done for life, those hills in vermont really killed it.loool.
So basically 2 choices.
1. Get both rear wheels off the ground, take off your front bumper, and lock your steering wheel straight and tow. (easier on the tow vehicle)
2. Or get a full tow dolly and get all 4 wheels off the ground and tow. But the dolly itself weight over 1000lbs (harder on tow vehicle),

A little thread update, I'm looking to tow my SC in an enclosed trailer and I want to load the suspension preferably (I've heard it's safer than letting the suspension bounce when strapping to the wheels, control arms, etc.) Where's the best places to load the suspension up? My car is lowered too, so I'll want to avoid getting damage to the skirts
