Default question about leather seat covers

okay..xmas time is coming around and i think im getting a digital camera and new leather seat covers. are the seat covers an actual cover? or will the old leather have to be removed and the new leather put on?

you can order the leather seat kits from like leatherseats.com yes the old covers have to be removed. Once removed you replace them with the new seat covers. Pries arearound 600$ i think.

Lots of fun to install. Takes several hours per seat if you do it right. I would start with the rears, they are easiest. Takes time still. The fronts suck due to the actual removal of the motors.
Rear seat bottom took me about 6 hours, I was learning.
Rear back took about 3 hours
First front took me about 8 hours, Learning how to get it apart.
Second front took about 5

Take your time or take it to a pro. I think it costs like 300-600 to get them installed.

Check with your local shop, they may prefer a certain brand. I tried to get a local guy to install some Katsin and he wouldnt do it, thats how i learned how to do it. LOL

Thanks for the compliment! Somtime we need to hook up for a meet, you are just one state away.

sounds like it might be a good idea to pick up some cheap racing seats so that the car can be useable while taking the time to do it right.

getting the racing seat would even take more time and effort to get them to fit casue you have to deal with getting the seat rails to fit.

around 600$ will get you the complete front and rear seats. We are talking about leather here.

If you were to take it to some shop they would prob charge you more. There are cheap ways to do it but it prob wont look good. You can go with vynil or fake leather.
