Well i really love the overall driving experience of my LEX, and the nice NAK sound system, but that red coupe of DKM owns my LEX, that thing i bet gets more looks than anything, You have a very nice legend and i really think that it is cool to say that you "have a 6speed" and the styling of the LEX vs. the Legend? ill take that legend it looks mean, while the LEX just looks graceful.

there is no turbo NSX, stock no, aftermarket yes... but thats another $30k on top
Mercedes Benz is a friggin joke... I can't understand how people would think that is luxury... sorry but I think the "Ultra Luxury" option for a LS430 that includes a refridgerator of sorts; and a bunch of other goodies for $10k defines luxury...
not some German car that's going to break down on you before you leave the car lot![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Lexus is in a class all its own; the only other brand that competes with it is Infiniti.
What I meant by full luxury was that all Lexus is, is luxury... thats it, no performance stuff, yadda yadda yadda... nothing zip zilch, nada...
While Acura has two strict performance cars in its lineup; and maybe three if you can count the TL Type-S or whatever that car is...

I have a mercedes C230 (AMG EVO II), and I have a smaller pulley on it, upgraded intercooler piping, computer chip, HKS exhaust, and 75 shot of NOS. It has held up quiet well. Although it is for sale when it gets back from the body shop, it did well. I have only had it for 3 1/2 months, but it has right at 6k miles on it.
As for the long run....I dont know if it would had held up, and as far as luxury...umm....a little...but not what you expect...I mean...com'on....its a $30,000 car....what more do you expect
As for luxury....yes....the LS430 is awesome

NSX - T i meant (290hp rather than the std NSX 260hp version).
also. Mercedes is NOT luxury? please don't bring up a C-class and have it represent Mercedes. Come on guys, where do you think Lexus came from? from a straight rip off Mercedes. The LS400 introduction of the early 90's was a straight clone of the Benz.
and yes, the LS430 is nice, but it still can not compete with the S-Class (not to mention the new S-class due to come out will blow it away). It's like.. the Hyatt is nice, but it is NOT the same class of luxury as the Ritz Carlton.
obviously i luv japanese cars but i cant stand how the japanese-car owners always dismiss german cars as something that 'breaks down'. that is simply not true and is as ignorant as their drivers saying our cars are nothing more than dressed up honda civics / toyota corollas.
VQT, go for it. just becareful what you buy, make sure you know that car's history like the back of your hand..

German cars suck, and it is true.
My friend works at a BMW dealership; and he's got friends that work at the neighboring Merc dealership and they all say the same thing:
They are refined, some are luxurious, but they are built like crap with crappy parts and go to the shop all the time. Their turbo cars aren't overbuilt like their jap counterparts; their engines aren't overbuilt in the N/A cars either.
this is why there are 1000hp stock bottom-end 1uz 4.0 V8s down in australia and why there are 1000hp 2jz-gte motors with stock bottom end here in the USA too.
The Germans defined the automobile. The Japanese made it run.

>>>German cars suck, and it is true.
>>>My friend works at a BMW dealership; and he's got friends that work at the neighboring Merc dealership and they all say the same thing:
you know. i can agree with 90% of the stuff you say and your reasoning behind it, but it's the 10% of statements like the one you made above that keeps me replying.
when you said "german cars suck and it is true". that alone is pretty childish, but at least i was expecting you to back it up with some solid reasoning and PERSONAL experience. instead, you based it on hearsay and friend of a friend and their rumors.
until you've driven, owned, and maintained and fixed a german car yourself, i dont wanna hear another peep from u
