Uh.....thats the same car.
Just like the Camero and the Firebird.
They look similar cause they are the same car.!!
Chrysler and Mitsubishi did this with a TON of cars.
Eclipse/Talon/Laser
Starion/Conquest

I looked in a Lexus book at the dealer and how the SC came to be was they took a sand like substance filled rubber ball and put it between the humerus and the radius, then closed the arm. Then the shape inspired the body of the SC.

I don't see the resemblance. I'm pretty sure the S14 zenki is designed after its big brother, the Skyline R33 GTR. I think the pictures you've posted are very misleading, given that all three of those cars Soarer, S14, and S15 are wearing the same front end body kit!
IMO, the cars you've pictured share many things in common. They are coupes, powered by an internal combustion engine, has 4 wheels, and 2+2 seating arrangement. But nowhere do I see any resemblance in design.

Yes, they're mostly FR 2+2 coupes, but there are plenty of Asian 2+2's from that time period that have a totally different look - 300zx, 3000gt, Celica, Del Sol, etc.

companies have been copying other companies for decades. like how the new accord looks like a bmw 5 series and hyundia's xg350 or whatever it is looks kinda like a bentley or the 300c cheaper companies always been copying higher class cars, so to copy another cars line wold be no different. plus dont you guys think that the hyundia accents headlights kinda look like an r34s headlights in shape.

You guys have named quite a few cars that I hadn't thought of yet so keep them coming. I assume the SC/Soarer influenced the Supra design since the SC/Soarer was made before the MKIV Supra.
I noticed there are quite a few look-a-like 92-96 spoilers on some cars from the '90s and '00s, for instance, some '90s Sebrings have one that looks suspiciously similar and seen them on quite a few other cars (Pontiacs and others). Anyone know if a 92-96-style spoiler were on any cars before the SC? The only car I can think of is MAYBE the Porsche (turbo) flush-style spoiler/wing but the two spoilers are different, they just share the flush style, etc.
What is that new Chevy 2-door that looks like they copied the yet-to-be-released GT-R... What a joke! Domestics have increasingly been copying Japanese car styles in the 2000s, it seems like, on some of the cars.

I'm not saying every domestic car but definitely some of them are. Obviously the Mustang and other cars like it aren't Japanese-looking but some cars like the (ugly) ZX2, etc. and a lot of other small, compact cars look tailored to the Japanese crowd.
