Default Got a Job @ a lexus dealership

well, as luck may have it, my local lexus dealership doesn't have an IT director. They're paying someone else to setup servers for them (Windows 2000, proab. w/ a domain setup) Sooo for my intership, I'll be working there. The man I spoke with said that he doesn't think they'll need me longer than 2 weeks... But I think his tune may change when he realizes how much maintenance servers need. (Windows has more holes than swiss cheese!)

Anyhow, it appears that I might be in for an at cost discount on Lexus parts! BUHHHH YEAAAAA!

I do soon.
Just find out how much they paid for parts and how many % they stick it to the consumer. Try to score the invoice sheet of parts so we know how much they making profit on parts.

I agree. If you can snoop around and find an invoice for cost for parts, it would help us out alot. Besides, you would get flooded and your boss would wonder why you are buying 6 cases of spark plugs, 30 power steering pumps and lines, a pile of plug wires and caps, a few coils, a couple of timing belts, some front seat leather covers, and a handful of blank keys. Maybe set up an account that looks like a parts connection with another dealership. Ahh to dream.

well that gives me an idea actually. I could eventually bring up w/ my boss that I'm part of club lexus, and I could help them tap into a very large clientele if they could discount to us. Hmmmmmmmm

Hey Ikon, we ALREADY have "spies" on the inside...there are a few members here that are Lexus dealership employees...what we need is a connection high up in Lexus CORPORATE! I'd like to take the guy who picks what wheels go on stock Lexus cars AN KICK THEM IN THE HEAD. TWICE. Maybe thrice...

I still can't get over the 16" "Performance" setup in the Limited/Special Edition GS...that one deserves a kick in the head with steel toed boots...I'll donate mine...
