Default My leather stinks, reallly bad.

Hi, first post, and everyone can see me complain =D Anyways. Theres this realllly bad smell in my leather seat, backseat driver side. so far I've tried to clean it or mask it with the following in the pictures below. What not pictured is oxy clean, and a good tooth brush, and shop towels. and oh, warm water.

It still smells. I just can't seem to figure out how to get this horrible smell out of it. Any ideas and recommendations or techniques to cleaning this putrid stink? Smells like rotten guava mixed with bottom of the trash can with random liquids stink.

Hmmm... It sounds like you have some sort of mildew growing under the leather/in the foam. My only suggestion would be to dry it as much as possible OR just rip the seat apart to fix the problem. My suggestion may be a bit extreme, but I hope it will help at least a touch

Maybe a hot air blow dryer or possible just a normal temperature air with a air blower? I don't mess leather too often so I don't know if prolonged hot air would damage it?

its aliiivvveeee!!

no seriously it must be inside the seat or seeped through the stitching. if all else fails you will probably have to get down and dirty with the seat.
at least its the back seat, way easier to take off.

did you check under the seat?? your smell could reside there ?? if there is nothing rotting underneath the seat and you think it is coming from the seat, the rear is removable, just pop it out and put in a closet or something, check back and 24 hours if the closet smells it is your seats. good luck!!

Thanks for the support and comments so far, Ok I searched for a D.I.Y how to remove the backseat and well, I couldnt really find anything, except for a different model car. Could anyone possibly direct me to a D.I.Y. on how to remove the backseat? I'll keep searching in the meantime and I'll try the baking soda idea now as a better alternative to spraying more crap on it o_o, no promises on not farting on it and having "sexy time" lol

I'll check back again, thanks.

all SC back seat comes off the same, just yank the bottom of the seat upward toward the edges and it should just pop off.
