sc3 and sc4 auto had traction control. sc3 5sp did not, at least mine doesnt have it. none of the sc's came with an LSD.

you weld the spider gears in the diff and then your wheels constantly spin with the same speed. even around corners

does he have an upgraded clutch type LSD? the welded diff is a bit worse then clutch-type. if you dont like clutch-type LSD then dont weld yours and save up for the real thing. i dont mind the shudder of the welded diff so im good.

supra diffs bolt right in. so a search theres a lot of info in it.

No LSD for SC400. In fact they are harder to get an LSD for due to the AT tranny and gearing an difference between the AT SUpra rear end and the AT SC400 rear end and drive shaft. If you have a not daily driven SC400 or your a bad *** look to a company called SDP for their Weld Locd diff. customization. Its basically a guaranteed quality unbreakable welded diff. for $75 plus shipping.

yeah. There are some Kaaz diffs on ebay right now for a good price. I kinda am iffy on if they are genuine or not though just cause there are suddenly so many of them listed and you hardly ever see them listed on there. It's worth checking out though.

SC300 = Fun car to drift.

Mine is stock except for exhaust, intake, 2way lsd, PartshopMax coilovers, ( had teins but they blew up) steering angle kit, bucket seat, drifting ebrake shoes, koyo Rad. and full cage. and it has plenty of power from the stock motor.
but dont fool yourself, you need a diff, bucket seat, and some form of stiff suspension. you can weld your diff or get yourself a 2way. I say 2way but either way it's gonna make noise when you turn.

and as for the clutch, the factory clutch is fine, prolly one of the strongest oem clutches made.(it's a heavy car).

everything else will help but is not necessary.

but look forward to buying new control arms from the dealer that are expensive and having fun drifting around a ton of Nissan 240s

How are you going to drift without a lsd? Power in and out of a corner dragging one wheel? Its not really drifting, and the sc NEVER came with a LSD confirmed by me the know it all lol
