I was thinking the same thing. Flares run sorta parallel(lil angled maybe) to body not vertical that much and not that wide. You can consider the vertex front fenders and a decent flare in the back. Wider wheels with nice lip are a necesity to pull em off.
I fell yuh on everyone having 97 conver, + wheels and dropped but it does look dam good. GL

The designers of the SC are crying right now..
It appears you're doing this just for the sake of being different. Not because it functions better or looks better. Kinda reminds me of the design philosophy behind the Pontiac Aztek.. it was definately different.

Dang..
it actually looks really nice!
minus the flare though.. way way WAY tooooooo much...
everything on that car looks hot.. besides the hideous flare.
if anything just remember..
PULL YOUR FENDERS! instead of a gigantic flare :[

Im sorry, i really don't like it, Completely destroying the SC body lines...
Looks more like something you would see on NFS underground instead of a Lux/vip high end import....
Sorry i really am not feeling that at all

hmm the Flare.. if ur gunna flare it.. DONT flare it THAT much.. first pull your fenders.. then if u want flare it out a LITTLE bit not as much as the one pictured.. those are monster flares O.O
the lights.. u should have kept ur stock 97 lights :[
but its VERY VERY good to be different, but yet very bad to stand out looking stupid :\

Definitely not feeling anything but the car itself.
I have to agree with what has been previously stated: The SC drivers that modify pretty much stick to the 97+ kit, staggered and a drop. Sure, variation occurs and the occasional body kit and what not happens. If you like it, that's your thing.
I plan on the 97+ kit minus the tails (92-94 tails with a red indicator area), Black headlight housings with black high beam housings, and whatever rims I can find that look classy and flow with my design. I want a car that in ten years, I can drive it and not really change much but still have people compliment the car and say "Wow, that's a really nice car you have there!" (provided the car isn't totaled beyond recognition.)
The silver car above doesn't as horrible as some that I have seen. The rear fender flares obviously detract from the single line pulled from front to back. I hate when these cars have ALL them emblems taken off of them. Personally, I like the circle L's only on front and back--or just leave them alone.
If I may say, I think your car might be featured in my music video when I become a white rapper and cover Vanilla Ice with my song "Rice, Rice, baby."
I don't mean to be an *** though, just joking around, so don't take what everyone says seriously--DO YO THANG.

Maybe???? It does look like someone has put a great deal of effort into it. Seems like nice work, but it looks a little out of place on this car as it sits... It reminds me of the DTM cars....maybe if you had the front done also with a few other mods it would work...Probably be one of the first DTM inspired Lexus.

Race car body modifications usually serve a performance purpose rather than an aesthetic one. For a car that's used as a daily driver or occasional track/meet car--its purely aesthetic.

The pics of the crazy flares on the back of the SC look very un-balanced.
It's sota half the look...takes away from the cars lines...
Now if the car had 1,000hp and just plain needed more tire under it, that may be a different story...
