Its like one time when I went to a Hot Import Night a few years ago and saw this 2001 Civic with a REAR wide body expansion and ten inch tires.

It serves for nothing and to most educated auto enthusiasts--disgusting.

If you can find away to get the fender flares to integrate a lil better with your side skirts and rear bumper, it might look legit! Good luck with your project

I agree with ....Tom3, This is definitely an emerging design. It could go either way. I know it can be done and I know you can do it. Your bodywork skills are great and sometimes unmatched. I really feel you should find some low offset wheels ($$$$) first and build around them. You will be surprised how much you can pull those fenders without flares. Without the right offset wheels and those flares might not be a smooth marriage.

was just an idea. i was going threw my garage and found these. i have all intentions of turboing this car. 1000 hp probably not. but definatly turbo. these are currently taped to side of car. maybe itll look better in a photoshop in 1 color. i was lookin at all the work i have left. so adding flares woundnt be that much more. that silver 1 looks like a hot wheels car. cool! but too wide. bigmalik00 your right. im suppose to pick up some rims this weekend. their not even staggered . but if i was gonna do it i should definatly get the wheels first. got real lucky with other car. i cant even get my pinky in between the tire and fender.

Well personally

I THINK

that is is ruining the body lines....

But We all must give respect where its due. he is going out and doing something different and liking it....Thats how this whole car customizing thing started, some one wasnt happy and made it their own. He is doing this now.

as a fellow body work man, i understand how hard it is to make every thing fit right and match, UGH wet sanding... my curse....
But Even if I dont like it or who ever doesn't like it...
IT IS STILL YOURS. this is your project, you have undertaken it, and you are stepping out of the crowd to be different, I Like that mentality and way of thinking... You have my respect, your car just isnt my cup of tea

Dude, I think a little part of me just died on the inside.

I do think its a great idea, just a bad prototype.
I think a less aggressive initial angle will work a lot better, then round it out at the bottom so that the end of it will be straight vertical, not at a 45+ degree angle with the ground. it's angle is way to sharp for an SC.

I strongly encourage you to make several prototypes and take all the strengths from them and then work on a final one.

keep up the custom fab!!
