looking to buy vertex lip
i'm not too cheap when it comes to my car i will pay whatever the price is to make my car look nice, but the thing is that i plan on getting rid of my vertex front bumper and get a 97 bumper with vertex lip instead for a cleaner look, thing is that my car is low, i already accident cracked my front vertex bumper and ruined my driver sideskirt *hit in the head* plus this vertex lip is like $416 which is alot, i was wondering people out there with bodykits do you guys have your car lowered? cuz in cali theres alot of driveways..speed bumps, dip etc etc

was your vertex front bumper vertex? or was it a replica? because i heard the vertex one was actually pretty sturdy. but yea..i actually plan on doing the same thing to my car sometime in the near future.

I understand your pain with the hills and bumps! That's all Ohio is when you're in Cincinnati! I think we have some of the steepest hills in the country honestly so lowering my vehicle wouldn't be a smart idea.

I think Blk97SC300 has a genuine Vertex front lip. I believe he said that he installed it higher off the ground for better clearance.

You've gotta find the right personal balance between ride height and driveability. If you go for air suspension you don't have to worry so much about breaking your bodykit.
Can't speak for anyone else, but my car is a lot lower in front after putting on the stock lip. Sure it's harder to drive around, but I'm used to driving lowered cars so it's not much hassle.
But eventually you'll drive someplace where no amount of "angle" will save the kit. If you're using spring/shock suspension...then you just tough it out,

You could find some pics of my car in that thread.
Autoboy has the Vertex lip installed "correctly". My car is a bit lower than his, and the lip was wayyyy too low to drive anywhere- so I mounted the lip slightly higher. I prefer the look of it being mounted under the bumper, but I couldn't do it that way. I like having no wheel gap (front/rear is actually tucked a bit)- and I don't feel like raising it for the lip.
I think I paid a little less than $500 or so, shipped. Kinda pricey, but u gotta pay to play

Allen love your stance... I had to raise the car to accomadate my new tires...no more stretched tires...haha and im a good half inch to an inch higher now front clearance is not as big of an issue as it used to be =D
