would parting out a car be more lucrative?

Ive been wondering lately what the advantages would be to parting out a complete car as opposed to selling it outright.. This would be a 94 SC4 with 200k that I could sell for $4,000. I'm thinking it would probably be one huge headache parting it out. What do you guys think?

If you can sell it as-is then do it. I'm almost done parting my car out... I've got to say its been a really big headache... Its great as far as learning about the car and learning how to pull things out...
But unless you have a good amount of time and space to store stuff I wouldn't do it. I guess I'd be singing a different tune if the weather was warmer...

Yea space is what is going to be the kicker...If I could have the whole garage for just my car do it, I might be able to pull it off. Then again, cash in hand selling "as is" is always a good thing!
