Default So what do you guys think?

Over the last few days I've had a bunch of friends come by to look at the car, my dads mechanic and neighbors.

All of them say that there seems to be more to the accident than my brothers story and his friends story...

Their story: They were cut off by a black car, lost control of the car while trying to swerve, spun the car and hit the tree... All this while not speeding...

So while stripping the car and cutting stuff up I looked at a few things that seemed odd...

1. If the car spun into a tree, Why was the bumper support untouched?

2. If the car spun into a tree, Why did the gas tank get smashed in towards the middle?

3. Look at the rear deck... Its bent in and up near the middle...

What I think happened was someone ran right into the back of the car a little on the left, the force sent the car spinning, hit the mini-van that was parked and landed by the tree...

What do you guys think judging by the damage.

Pictures for reference:

It looks like the tree hit the car on the back-left side and the trunk of the tree and maybe limbs/branches, too, combined with the force of the hit did the inner damage.

Yea that was my other guess. Car just flew up on one side when it slammed so the tree was able to take out that whole side.

I really like this car, too, black-on-black. Any future plans? I wish I would have bought a cheaper SC with cash locally (craigslist, etc.) instead of at a dealership with a car payment with interest. I got one that needed major maintenance, too. What a blow. I haven't had much money for anything. But damn it, I want some clean-*** wheels and eventually a couple sets of wheels, nothing ghetto like chrome spinners or anything, and a few other things.

Why would they lie about someone hitting them from the back?
