Default RSX Seats and the SC... Questions

My friend is wondering how would you put RSX seats into the SC.

Thanks to Rising Sun.

We got the basics of welding a bracket to the rear to get it to fit, but what about a bolt on bracket? Just incase he ever wants to resell them.

Thinking of the safety involved in that, what do you think?

Matt

Better yet, gut your OEM tracks and install the RSX and you'll have a powered RSX seats.

The ones hes looking at is all manual. But for him, the car will be tracked, so lighter is better.

I sat in an RSX-S and I have to agree, the seats are way sportier than the car.

I thought they were drop in though, I read somewhere that the stock S2K's seats bolt up, and the s2/rsx are the same. Someone wanna clarify on this?

They dont. Theres a thread where someone tried. The fronts will sorta bolt up while the rears are no where near.

who needs power seats?

i have a JIC seat in my car right now. no power no seat warmer....kinda sucks in the winter though.

my seat came with a seat rail for a S13 240sx and i cut off the rewelded it to fit the SC. i only had to modify two of the 4 brackets and it bolted right in.

makes you sit about 3 or 4 inches lower then stock. my friends complain that its too low but i like it. before with my stock seat at drift days with the helmet on i would just touch the roof. now i have about 3 inches of room with the helmet on.

i would modify the brackets and bolt those sucker in

Thank for all the compliments guys. The RSX Type S seats are 6 way manual adjustable with lumbar. By far the best interior mod for our cars. They really hold me in during "spirited" driving. I've tried to remove the seat tracks off my old seats but found it was much more difficult than just modifying the existing brackets. On the RSX seats I used Vise-grips to bend the front tabs on the brackets forward and the rear tabs come up short. So I welded a 3 inch brace to extend the mounting tab.

nice looking seats- pretty comfy too

How much do our seats weigh? Driver/passenger? I know they're probably heavy as hell.. since both of them are power. Just curious to see how much weight savings will be done with lighter driver/passenger seats.
