Default What is my car worth???

1992 Lexus SC300
196XXX miles on the chassis
50k miles or so on the engine
less than 500 miles on turbo setup


Engine Modifications:
JDM 1jzgte swap
r154 trans
RPS 6 puck clutch
light weight flywheel
MKIV 550cc injectors
255lph fuel pump
T3 flanged XS stainless manifold
T61 turbo
4" intercooler
Custom 3" intercooler piping
Tial style BOV
HKS 40mm wastegate
Cusco Catch can
3” downpipe, and 3” exhaust split to dual 2 ¼” mufflers. Very quiet, and clean looking

Exterior:
Wise sports front lip
Gemballa Wheels in 17x8.5, 17x9.5 New rear tires, good front tires NOT another set of these in 5x114.3 in the states!
Sc400 rear wing
Red out tails
JDM window visors
6000k HID's
Nearly the entire car has been freshly painted
Tokico shocks and espilar springs

Interior:
Tan leather supra bucket seats (driver side power)
Custom black carpet, and two tone black and tan interior
Momo steering wheel
Matching shift ****

Electronics:
Prosport full sweep, peak and hold gauges. Tachometer, water temp, oil pressure, and boost
Greddy Profec A boost controller
Greddy Emanage
PLX M300 Wideband O2 Gauge

I have some pics, but they are pretty crappy. You get the idea though.















What do you guys think it is worth??? I obviously have thousands invested in this car...I'd say at least 20k.

wow...now that i see the light it looks awsome...yea i say around $17,000-$20,000 is about right.

srry to jack a bit, but is the Tial BOV a look-a-like or is it authentic? if so, what kind of spring are you using for it?

i guess you can say its WORTH 17-20k..

but who is really gunna pay that much for it :\ (sad truth)
maybe in the 14k range
cause theres other 1jz swaps (not yet singled) that are going for around 7k.. soo yea 14k is pretty high enough.

The only thing that sets this car apart is 1) R154 trans and 2) single turbo.

What turbo is that?

If the turbo is XSPower like the manifold, I would say the car is worth no more than $10k-$11k. If it is dual ball bearing, tack on another $1000.

Seriously, as mentioned above there are 1JZ 5 speeds going for $8k and less.

A similar car to mine just sold on ebay for 9600. The car was not single turbo, had a crappy interior, and not nearly as much invested overall. Just to give you guys somethin to compare to.... My first guess was the car was worth 14-16k via ebay. Sound reasonable?

I would say $12k would be the most you would get for it. Trust me - my car has a lot more mods than yours and I don't see mine selling for anymore than $15k.

Problem with these cars - you don't get anywhere close to what you put in to them. So just drive it and enjoy it

I ask myself whether I want to sell it every day....especially if I sell it for such a loss. I have been slowly building the car since last feb, but due to a big boost in salary I can afford either "the real deal" (supra), or a 911 carrera.

Either way, this thread is definitely helpful in weighing out which way I want to go.
