ok guys please help me out... i was taking out the center console to work on my car, on the center console, there is a metal hook that clips over the white plastic screw plate.... the problem is, i took it off, and found out that the metal hook is connected to a yellow wire, but the other end of the yellow wire is the same kind of metal hook that should be attached to something else... now i found this out AFTER i unscrew both end of the metal hook... can someone tell me what this wire is for? and where it should be connected? it looks like a ground wire but i am not sure what is it gounded to.

yea..since its attached to the metal clip..im pretty sure its a ground wire. just not sure for what though. why dont you just reground it somewhere else then? does everything still work without that wire connected?

its a ground for the a/c and stereo. it is a floating type ground so where it goes sounds odd but it works... the top part (the gold colored end) goes on the metal frame mount of the a/c and stereo on the top left. its tucked back in there so be ready to squish some fingers. the other side (black) goes to the lower mount of the a/c stereo frame on the drivers side. Basically it links the upper left and lower left of the mounts. if it isnt hooked up my a/c didnt work so its a good idea to figure it out before you button it all back up.
