more like 10 to 2.....i used the holes that the trim bolts into to make ea side looks the same. i retained 2 bolt holes in rear for cut trim and 3 in front.(trim was replaced to make stock apperance) if lowered. as a guide. i removed the trim, used a small cresten wrench to start the roll and the a nice plastic dead blow to get it moving and an old wood bat to smoothing it out like a rolling pin, took about and hour including the sand and repaint

Here's a picture of my rear fender lip...that's as far as I'd shave it down...

Any thinner in that area would make it very weak...

Remove the trim and go from about 10-2. Make sure to not shave out too far to where you separate the inner fender. If you're extra careful on the front, you can save the tabs that hold on your splashgaurds and carefully bend them upward enough to be out of the way but still keep the splashgaurds intact. Take care when doing this not to overbend them or you can dent your fender. Most importantly, concentrate and take your time. When you're done, tape off the edges and apply a simple primer and rhino line the insides up to the edge since your trim will be gone.

Currently drying, I wound up just cutting basically 10-2 position, maybe even less

i also cut the black part to fit it, so it looks "oem"

i sprayed clear on it to keep it from rusting. Thats drying now, so hopefully this goes well.

Thanks for the help guys!

Now that its back together, I look at it. I dont think I cut enough now...

You be the judge. I think I need more taken off on the front of the car.

hmm...when i cut mine, it was around 9 to 3 but it was gradual(sp).... meaning the 12 o'clock was the deepest and the 9 and 3 was the least. i didn't cut beyond the spot welds.
