I think Altezza lights look like **** on the SC, they just don't match our cars. A lot of cars today use that style of tail light and they aren't bad, but not on our cars. From my years of toying with cars, altezza tail lights have always been under budget ways to make a car look up to par. That 200 dollars you spend on a pair of tail lights, can go towards a tasteful cosmetic item such as window tint, or a performance/economic part such as an intake or better performing battery. I'm being a ****, so I will end my comment here.

They look okay if you are going for a more of a sports car look and not a luxury car with a sporty twist. If that red SC had different rims (say the chrome Supra TT rims, the car would look nice!). You'd probably have to convert the badges to Toyota Soarer badges to pull it off and make it more Supraesque.
Most of the guys here aren't like that.
I prefer either all red 92-94 tails (because thats what I have, or the 97+ tails.
Either way, do what you want. I would consider the black tails if I had a Super Red II SC300.

Its all a matter of preference and budget. Personally, since I have been in huge financial constraints and needed various car parts that are required, I think the Ebay lights are a great alternative if you can't get your hands on ANYTHING else. Yes it is possible to find 92-94 lights for a decent price, but if you can't--you really don't have a choice. You can always sell them somewhere down the line for a bit cheaper and then get the OEM ones.
I was going to do that with my headlights, as mine are broken, but I decided to stick it out until my student loans are paid off in May and I can get 99-00 headlights and a good set of HID's. I'm not after a retrofit, because I think the lights will suit me just fine.
So bagging on someone because of a choice may not be very ethical. Think about if you NEEDED tail lights on your ONLY car because yours were BUSTED up too badly. Tons of people rip on others here all the time and its kind of depressing.
