Default Emissions

This is one of the things I have been wondering for some time. What do all the performance guys here do about the emissions? Do you keep your stock parts locked away when it comes time to do emissions? I was thinking about doing full exhaust, I could store away my stock setup during the year, but how do you account for turbo charging your car? I can't really find much on this , I was just curious.

i can only speak for myself, but here in KY, we don't have emissions testing, so i do whatever i want!
i've heard of people swapping cat's and other emissions equipment back on, even removing turbo kits for testing, but that seems pretty extreme. i know in the NE, they have licensed inspectors who are also mechanics ina shop. a lot of htose guys just happen to know an inspector well engouh to slip him a few bucks and he passes the car.

Pay to play. Exhausts after the cat do not effect emissions.

Yeah that's how the majority of people w/ turbo have told me they do it. Unfortunately, I don't know anybody

just roll it thru maybe youll get lucky, and be sure to have your cat on.

I had a RB25 that I kept well maintained and it was well below standards.

I love Indiana for no emissions.

I hate Indiana for crappy weather.

Only one county (Lake) in Indiana has emissions testing that I know of.

Its really a crock and an excuse for the state to rake in more money. They claim its for a good cause, but there are other ways to do so. I think the environment is important, but I also love performance vehicles.

Pay to Play is always how it goes, with that I have no problem. I will probably take off my stock exhaust and store it away, and when it comes time to fix her up, I'll take a weekend and put her back to stock and go from there.
