Default What are these black rubber round thingies on windows?

Good morning!

(sorry in advance Moderator if it's in wrong section)

I've recently test-driven two 1999 SC300 originally frm TX, now FS in SoCal. Both w/ very low mileage, 59k and 67k.

Both cars have these black rubber round something (1/2 dollar-size) on their driver's (right upper corner) and passenger's windows (left upper corner).

I only noticed because 1 of the rubber things was missing frm the driver-side window, revealing a clean-cut hole, about dime-size.

Any ideas?

Yup, my Acura has them too. Keeps you from being able to just pull the window out from the door like you can on say a Civic.

Hi!
Maybe I didn't explain/describe accurately.

I'm staring at the window on your red SC and do not see the black circle at top right-hand corner of driver window.

???

BINGO!!!!

Saw a '99 SC without it: looked like a bullet cleared right through the window. Thanks Caleb!
