Windows won't go up/down?
Not sure what's going on, but my windows won't go up or down. When I press the button I just hear a buzzing noise from the window control area and the door and dome lights dim. I'm thinking bad ground, but where would that ground be? Help?

I did some searching and found a post DSMPower posted:
"The buzzing noise is a short somewhere along the harness. A very common place for the short or disconnection to occur is the where the door harness meets the frame of the car in the door jamb. All you have to do is cut back the rubber harness cover and search for a broken wire. Mine happened to be the ground which was white and black, other people have had problems with the pink wire which is the actual power. If everything else on the master control works but the windows (green lights, door locks are working) then most likely it is just the ground. if nothing is working, then most likely it is the pink power wire. All i did was extended the broken wire by soldering the same gauge wire to it and it works fine now. By the way, before my windows would only work when the door was open, because it would bring the disconnected wires together and when it was shut, it would separate the wires, loosing all connections. i hope this helps! *make sure you solder and tape everything up securely to prevent it from happening again in the future*"
This seems more like the problem. Do you guys still think it's the regulator? When it first started, the windows would roll down when I opened the door a bit.

i have somewhat a similar problem in that it would sometimes go up/down only when i start hitting it then it would start moving again. for the passenger side, it moves so slowly...really slow.
when pulling into toll booth i swear to god that the person hates me cuz it took me so long to roll my windows. is it a regulator problem? or motor?

Just to help anyone else who has the same problem as the OP, I found this thread and for me it was a ground wire that was broken that was causing both windows not to come up and down and had the same problem with it buzzing. Just wanted to add a few pictures to help assist others because I have been trying to figure out this problem for awhile now.
