my thought on this is perhaps the tube that sucks up the gas on the bottom of the tank isnt on the bottom lol... i had my tank at 20 i belive once or twice from bone dry... then again its not a good practice to do that.. fuel pump needs lubrication and running it dry will destroy your pump.. i heard that it was common for people to destry their fuel pump store. and ive seen customers come into my store and the story was they ran dry because they didnt have money for gas lol.. i told them to get a geo metro 3 cylinder as a joke. i use to hit 380mpg but cuz that winter blend in fuel im only getting 300 and some change.. :\ which is more like mpd (miles per dollar)

Remember, our fuel pump is in the tank and it IS fuel cooled.
If you keep driving with fuel tank empty, it is liky to hurt the pump.
And then, it is very costly to replace since they have to open the whole tank!!!

I could have got along just fine without knowing of the reserve 5+ gallons.

Now Im sure to pass the gas station and run dead empty on the freeway. lol
