Maybe you should post some tips up. Did you just leave the machined part unpainted? I wonder how it would look if you left the rest or more of the lip silver to make the lip appear thicker/bigger. I like the latest pictures you posted.

naw bro, a thicker lip will look uglier.. trust me on that. haha we painted our friend's s2k Ap1 wheels black with time attack lip.. lets say the lip was too big >.< we made it like 2 cm? the circle was actually pretty clean :] but the lip was TOO thick.. and it looked weird a lil bit.

heres a tip on painting a lip.
TAKE YOUR TIME. one mess up and its going to look ugly and IT WILL SHOW

what they meant was. its better to buy new wheels and slap it on the SC because its more.. agressive and just looks better..

but im sure we ALL meant on this topic.. was that ur wheels right now look better than before :] cause stockies are just ugly when they are chrome .. i still have mine.. and it sucks!

but yea they look better than before

i did that to my stock wheels.. and everyone thinks they look like crap.. haha.. i think they looked better than before though.. and..i used some degreaser to wash the wheels first.. then.. dried them.. then.. went around the lip with electric tape because you can control the the curve by stretching the tape.. then.. layed down newspaper with masking tape... then sprayed with black then a coat of clear..

of course my wheels are the uglier stock ones.. hehe

oh.. btw.. i have some staggered 19s to put on when spring comes around.. =D

I like it, it's not bad. What are those, 15s? I've always hated the spoke design of those wheels so black is a BIG improvement. I think a little bigger wheel (even a 16) would look even better. Normally, I think the thicker the lip, the better it looks, but not a lot of lip to work with on the stock wheels. I like the look of these kinds of wheels because it makes the SC body stand out more. Also, I think if you added small chrome/silver center caps, it would liven the wheels up a little more, trying to picture it in my mind. But, I don't know, it might not do anythingor much for it. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

I like thick lips, like BBS. I would think the thicker and bigger the lip, the better it would look, because thin lips just don't look best with black spokes. It's like it's too black or something and nearly all-black which is not how I prefer it.

I can send anyone info on how to do it. Or I can do it for 25 bucks a wheel. If you want a time attack lip I can do that also in any color for 50 a wheel. Just ship them to me and ill do all of it. Shipping not included. I need a way to make some money anyways. It will be better quality than mine...and the price does include the paint and wire mesh to clean up the rims. Just PM me if you would like. Im glad to see others like it. I love them, I get complements everywhere I go, there is this NSX chick and she loves them...kind funny.
