Thanks for the nice replies guys.

As I said I could definitely go lower but it has to remain easy to drive and our roads are pretty poor with tons of driveways and entranceways etc that are hard to negotiate.

I don't want to damage the car at all so have had to sacrifice some of the looks to stay within the realms of usability.

I adjusted the CST's a little bit lower than stock but not much. They could go to 1 finger gap but that would be about the end of the adjustment.

I rolled the guards before fitting everything up. Looking at the wheel fitment I could probably go a bit wider in the rear, maybe down to a +20 offset but I want to fit larger tires, probably a 275 or 285 in the future and you couldn't run offsets like that with those size tires.

Matt.

hey Matt,

i have almost the same exact fitment (only with 275 in the back ) on my SC and i'm lowered up til 1 finger gap all around. I can tell you that i don't have any rubbing issues whatsoever front or back and can navigate potholed streets that is vancouver...other than that, ride look real nice

Cheers Woozle.

Are you running the Tein CST's? They get softer as you lower them as effectively you are removing the spring reload....

Do you carry passengers at all? I usually have one person with me.

Cheers

I have the tein basic and i usually carry one passenger. i'm told that the basic's dampening is somewhere in the middle for the CST. But yeah before i rolled the fenders i used to rub..A LOT. when i rolled the fenders and lowered it some more, the ride has become more comfortable...or at least to me it does. Maybe it's a placebo effect lol. Maybe dampening has a lot to do with it. it was rubbing at the front when i turn but since i removed the outer lining..great success

Do you have any pics of your car so I can see the stance?

So you have removed the fender lining in the front? Is your loom exposed?

Are the basic's height and preload adjustable or just preload adjustable?

Cheers

i just removed the outer lining, not the entire thing inside the wheel well, i think those can give an extra 5mm clearance. the basics are height adjustable but have no dampening adjustments unlike the CS or flex

That looks great, those rims look very nice.

I removed that thin plastic liner on the guard lip and rolled the guards, is that what you mean?

Cheers

The springs look like they will settle a bit. In a few weeks time I will evaluate the height situation. It definitely needs to come down a little in the back.

The car looks great. I vote for more meat on the tires with your next tire change.

Definitely going to go larger once the second set of 235's for the front that are sitting in the garage are worn down. I have two sets of 235's that are about 1/2 worn.

I chose the 265 as it matches the stretch look of the 235 on the front.

Definitely going at least 245 and 275's next time.
