ummm, I am not exactly sure of the name right now. I am at work. But I can say that it's not a high gloss black and it's not flat black. It has a kind of shine to it that makes it look just like a stock black part....I guess it's a semi-gloss black. I'll check the name for sure tonight for you though.

Yeah, I wish I could've found one with black interior.....but they're so hard to come by where I am from. It's such a pain the a$$ to repaint everything and stuff, but it's a heck of a lot more cost efficient then trying to buy all the parts in black.....that would be nuts!

Can't wait to see it totally finished, I was debating on buying a black interior or dying my tan interior with the top half black and the bottom half grey. Subscribed.

WOW, I've got to hand it to you, I started to swap the black and tan interiors between to Q45's and got to the dash and decided it was too much work. Luckily, the SC I bought had a well cared for black interior. I must say it was a deal maker for me.

Looks like a lot of work, but should be totally worth it in the end.

looks great so far.

i wanted to do this on my mr2, but debated constantly whether to spend $400-600 on black parts, or spend $80 for paint.

Needless to say, if i ever get bored and want a black interior on my sc400, i will do this.

keep up good work and i'm going to subscribe so i can see end results. Please tell me you took before and after

$20 for Folia-Tec?

I'll take SEM for $11 a can. Works the best on carpet too

Hmmm, I'll definitely do the SEM stuff on the carpet before trying to source out brand new carpet. As for the Folia-Tec, I got it for a discount of $13 from my friend who sells it at his shop, so that's not too bad. $11 plus tax is pretty close to $13 even anyways.

where can you find this "Folia-Tec". I've been looking around with no real luck.

Well, I tried finding it online too, but only my friend's shop seems to get a steady supply of it. You can call them or order online, I'll pm you a link to their shop's website.

The headliner and all the stuff above the dash I am going to keep tan. I noticed that on all the cars with stock black interior, they have a light color (gray or tan) for the headliner and any parts above the dashboard and door panels.

As for the buttons, I am going to figure out a way to make it black and retain the symbols. Haven't gotten there yet, but I am sure I can find a nice solution.

Yeah that is how my Twin Turbo Dodge Stealth is too. Black leather all around, and a tan headliner. Looks pretty good though. Best of luck with your project hope it all comes out the way you want it to.
