Default Pictures of last step of prepping before painting SC400

Well guys this full re-paint has taken longer than I have ever planned. Yesterday I snapped a couple of pictures of my car moments before the second coat of black PPG DP90 epoxy sealer went on. My painter was going to apply the 3 coats of PPG DBC Black paint and 3 coats of PPG Global Clear yesterday. I did not get a chance to stop by his shop after work last night to see the car before the wet sanding began. I will be going over there today after I get off work. I can't wait to see the finished product. This guy is meticulous with his work. We still have not put on the Supra LCA's and Supra sway bars yet and I am going back and forth on whether to do the BFI upgrade or not. Well here are a few more pictures of the car all tacked up and taped off ready for paint. The last picture is the plastic on the edge of the outside doors between the front side window and back side window.

Looks like it was prepped very well. that's the key to have a good paintjob.

Just morbid curiosity but how much would a paint job of this (presumable) quality with the same attention to prep cost on the open market?

I bought my Supra T.T. front LCA's and rear sub frame mounts from Luis at Carson Toyota for a grand total of around $565.00 give or take a dollar. I think my LCA's were $204 a piece and the mounts were like $64 a piece + $30.00 standard UPS ground shipping from CA to MI. As far as a fair market paint quote I have no idea. I am curious of that too. I know that the PPG DELTRON CONCEPTS higher end paint and the highest end GLOBAL clear was pretty darn expensive. Where the money really adds up is in the cost of the hardener, fixer, epoxy, primer 3M buffing compounds, tape, plastic and even all the different grit sand papers. Here is a list of the PPG paint products that I used.

(5) Quarts D893 GLOBAL CLEAR
(1) Gallon GLOBAL REDUCER
(2) Quart D874 GLOBAL HARDENER
(3) Gallon DT 860 REDUCER "60 degrees COLD TEMPERATURE"
(1) Gallon DP 90 EPOXY PRIMER "BLACK"
(2) Quarts DP 402 FAST HARDENER
(1) Gallon K36 HIGH BUILD PRIMER
(1) Quart K201 HARDENER
(1) Gallon WAX & GREASE REMOVER
(5) Quarts DELTRON DBC CONCEPT BLACK PAINT PPG # 95100 oem PAINT CODE 202
