yea you can just get the shell from a hobby store that sells the rc cars i got mine from hobby town in concord california. the shell is 25 bucks, its clear, it comes with precut masks for the windows and stickers for the outside, you paint it from the inside, and don't forget about the thin film over the top after ur done painting its so you don't get overspray. the body as they call it because they are stupid they call it the vertex Toyota soarer. its sc300 with the vertex ridge kit molded onto it. get it and paint it any color you want then post pics so we can all enjoy. have fun.

I've got the electric and I got the Aristo body for it. Its my first one I've ever done but it turned out ok...its kind of dirty atm though. I'll post some pics later.

i have an electric Yokomo on the way..planning on a brushless motor with the soarer body...mabey drift setup...not sure yet though

3mm and 9mm offset yes. the drift package has a 3.0cc engine its pretty big for the little car its only a one speed im gonna get the 2 speed tranny and swap it out. its tunable for the shift point so ill have it stay in first gear during drifts and have it switch when it straightens out and starts hauling. we should all get them and have real sc and rc sc meets and DRIFFFT!! why does that skyline body look like that? (not scale at all)

the skyline body is crap, i have only seen 1 that looks scale and its an R32...the whole car was crap when i got it, just going through a good restoration..probably gonna throw a Trueno body on it before i sell it..

The HPI I have is already setup for drift...and the 2 speed trans are not easy to tune the way your planning...it can be done, but not easy to do
