Default New SC400 owner.

I just bought a 1997 sc400 and figured I would join the board and learn more about my new car. I drove a friends and was so impressed that I picked one up. I will get better pics but here is one for now. I think my first mod is going to be to get some new wheels.

Thanks. The car is really clean. The only flaw I could find was one of the heated seat switches was bad. Other then that... not a rip, stain, leak or scratch anywhere.

That is a good price. A lot of people here buy a 93-95 for around 3600-6000 and then end up spending close to 2k converting the lights, body style to a 97+ anyway. Not to mention spending money restoring the beat up interior too. Nice find. Where in VA are you? Im in fairfax.

I paid 9400 for a 98 sc300 with 125k miles, so I don't think you overpaid. Your car looks clean very clean though.

I think I saw this one on ebay or autotrader when I was looking. Looks nice, but I wanted something closer and with black leather. My 96 with a few more miles didn't cost me much less, but again I wanted black leather. I say "good deal" and nice car.

I didnt really think I got a bad deal, just thought I could have found it a little cheaper if I had looked around some more... maybe not. I ran across alot that were in much worse shape though, so I jumped on it and Im glad I did.

I dont know if it was on ebay but it was definetly in autotrader. I found a few that were a little cheaper but were also far away. It appears a got a pretty dedent deal and didnt have to go to far. Im happy with the car and the deal.
