My bad i forgot the "european drifter" point of view.
It sounds as if your point of view of cars is very limited/ narrowminded but of course your younger and you know it all. Well whenever you finsh building your s13 or get AE86 you will move on to better platforms. BTW i ditched track s13 long time ago, i enjoy drive my TT z32 alot more.

im not a european drifter. i just do it because i staff drift events so i can do it for free sometimes. i dont go all crazy about drifitng like some. i do it because its all i can do with my car situation. the SC is underpowered and heavy to track and the S13 is not done. drifting it is

my view of cars IS limited. i know what i like and i know what purpose my cars serve. i dont try to make a mule into a race horse. therefore my beater station wagon is for driving parts around, SC for daily driving, and S13 for track days.

uhm younger? im actually older then you are according to your profile.

i probably will move on to a different chassis some times soon.

z32 is a piece of ****. i hate just about everything about those cars. sorry. but lets not get into that. we can talk about that til i have kids.

you definition and purpose of a car is a lot different then mine. you like nice comfortable fast cars. well fast in a straight line. i could care less about comfort. i want a car that i can do as much as i can with on my own. modification potential is one of the top buying points for me. i could care less how the car looks or sounds.

i have a welded diff on my SC and some of my girl friends complain when going in the car that its uncomfortable. i could care less. if you ask for the ride then dont complain. that my mentality.

lets just leave it at this: we both like cars and everyone has their own opinion.

btw i wanna see some vids of your rps. do you do any track days or only street cruises?

seriously, youll have to drive it backwards to have any fun

all trac is pretty sweet, although its an old car, not as attractive as the SC (IMO), but the performance is all there. rarity factor is a plus as well.

i would say keep the sc and buy the all-trac

maybe that should be option 4 =)
what he said ^^

The All-Trac would be nice, but you'd have to be confident it's in as good or better mechanical condition of your SC. I've never liked the looks of the last run of Celicas, so I (personally) wouldn't even consider that.

There's my 2 cents.

I've had a 91 Celica GT for 10 years. It is an awesome car around town but I am going to an SC cause it's time to move on you as are doing as well. A friend of mine has a 90 ALL TRAC that is his daily driver. It's a great car but parts are very hard to come by and the interior on his is trashed. The leather is cracked and it looks like a beater car inside. I don't think you can buy replacement parts for an all trac at most places including the dealer.

If it is in great shape go for the all trac. They will appreciate in value for sure. The SC will become a sub $3000 car in 5 years whereas a nice ALL TRAC will be an over $15K car in 5 years to the right buyer.

Gen 7 Ceilcas were made so cheaply....the entire dash looks like 99 cent store plastic parts.

Here's my 2 cents...

Although you can't do wrong with what ever choice you make(You'll also have a solid explanation and reason), I feel that you'll miss your SC if you got rid of it at some point.

I can't even fathom the thought of getting rid of my SC. I never get tired of driving her. It maybe WAY underpowered in stock form, but I plan to cure that with a C6 Z06 soon

The all tracs are pretty rare. I would just keep option 1 and boost it.

If you're asking this question, chances are you'll probably get rid of the lex. From your other two vehicle choices, I'd say get the all-trac Celica. It's more rare, AWD, turbo and it looks much better IMO.

I know you've probably already made up your mind, but this is for defense of the 7th gen Celicas. I drive one, although it's a GT, and not a GT-S. It's light and nimble, and great on gas. Sure it's not as powerful as the other cars, but I believe it's still decently quick. Hell, a stock GT-S CAN beat a stock 2nd gen turbo MR-2. And you were contemplating a 2000 GT-S, which was the fastest year it was produced. Every year after that was dumbed down to lower redline and higher lift engagements. Older cars like the Alltrac might be difficult to find replacement parts for it, and if the previous owner beat it to death, then it might break down often. Yes every other car listed was better, but I still like the 7th gen. It's a fun car to drive IMO, even if it's FWD.
