Chrome coming off headlights?
Ok guys hears the deal I am in the middle of delining my headlights. When I say in the middle of it I mean I thought I would take a few days to do it scene it takes so long to sand. I still need to drive the sc4 so I put the housing and chrome plate back on the car. Yes it was a bad move because the chrome is peeling off the headlight now. Does anyone have a solution to making it chrome again? Chrome paint?

I would recommend removing the chrome plate off and sanding them. Prime them a little with some promoter, then spray paint them with a porceline style (high temp: think caliper or engine block)paint to give them a light tint or all the way to blackout depending on your color of car. Or you could buy some new lights pretty much if you like the chrome. Rattle can chrome looks like poop.

Dark, or that misty color? Either way, a medium tint on the bezles would look good, maybe do your highbeams while you're at it.

chrome paint doesnt come out chrome. The chrome finish came off mine and your only solutions- are paint them whatever you want or buy new. I went with the latter and am very happy about it.

I would go new too, if it's an option. But painting will only cost you like $10 at the most and a few hours.

I took my passenger headlight out to clean and TRY to prevent recurrent condensation. The unit is cleaner but still has condensation issues (CRAP!).
At what point do you throw in the towel and go out and replace the assy, either with a used/new unit?
