Sorry to hear about the carniage!

How were the weather conditions when you lost it? Did you lose it on purpose and couldn't regain control, or did it happen on its own?

I'm just curious, cause I have a very high hp sc and would like some info.

Holy **** that is horrible; at least you are O.K. I didn't think the SC would lost cabin integrity like that, I've never seen the inside of the car affected like that. Thank God you are ok

I had just left first gear and i only took that to like 3k. first gear tops out around 30, so there was no way i was going over 30ish. it was just all that torque and a slick road. the road there is quite tricky,
there is an abrupt drop off with a turn left, then right, while its dropping....weight transfers to the front, rear looses traction with any power, and having the steering wheel turned.......well it just spells disaster. imagine the corkscrew at laguna seca......
my room mate did the same thing in his car, my brother, my neighbor and countless others.....all the trees in the area have battle scares and there is more safety glass on the ground then there is grass.
I was thinking you were doing 30, applied brakes then hit the tree. Your explanation above makes more sense, doing 30, with no speed scrubbed off, thus impacting at ~30 makes sense (to me) now.

Still glad you came out okay.

Wow. So I take it you didn't learn from their mistakes?
