quick question on trunk lift supports

Default quick question on trunk lift supports

are they the same on 92 and 97? i found them local for a 92, but not for the 97 are they the same....??

not positive but i think they are different, the 92 and 97 spoiler are different so the trunk lift for each year are made to support a specific spoiler weight

The support struts should be physically the same for 92-00 SC. I think the only difference is the valving of the strut.

Without spoiler, its the same valving from 92-00.
With spoiler, the 92-96 have a different part number than 97-00. I believe the 92-96 are valved more for the slightly heavier spoiler compared to the 97-00.

You should be able to interchange them between years and with or without spoilers. Its just the force of the trunk opening will differ depending on which ones you get.

sc300max is right, they are physically the same. I couldn't find any struts for 97+ spoilered SC's, all they had were for non-spoilered, so I went and got the struts for spoilered 92-96 SC's. They looked just like the blown struts in my 98 and hold up the trunk just fine.
