New wheels

These used wheels I got for $140 I found out had bends on three of the four wheels. I was very unhappy after hearing that after getting them balanced at Pep Boys. That's the last thing I wanted to hear after thinking the balancing was going to fix the problems I was having but it did fix a lot of the vibrations/bumpiness felt in the steering wheel but there's still some from the bends, I assume, and also the two front tires lose air, probably from the bends. So I guess there are disadvantages buying used wheels, too, and advantages of buying new.
What are you going to do about your new wheels concerning the rear? Were you counting on it to be flush or did you know it would stick out a little and plan to modify the fenders? I'm not sure exactly how much the rebate will be but I'm hoping for $600. It's pretty much free money so I'd probably be happy with any amount.

well i was hoping all i'd have to do is roll the fenders and they'd be flush, the front is perfect as is but i guess for the rear i'm gonna try and roll them this week, i really don't wanna have to try and pull the rear's cause then i'm gonna have that weird flared lip look even when i get differnt wheels, i might just have to sport the raked stance after i roll the fenders.
I don't mind the rake stanced so much but i'd rather even it out at least a little, i'm only planning on a BPU 1jz so it's definetly not gonna be a drag car lol..

fitment i was going off this pic in the official wheel/tire fitment thread
supposedly he is running a 18x10 +22 offset like me in the rear except he has a 265 instead of 275..

would stretching a tire give me enough extra room? i'm not a fan of stretched tires but i guess i'd consider it for clearance..

That's a good question. It would probably help or fix it if you could. I'm not an expert so I'll leave it to someone who has done it before or knows a lot about it.

Flush is hard to get without some fender mods, stretching and/or camber. You just can't get "flush" without using at least one of not more of those methods.
I like the flush look in this pic

but since I'm already rubbing with my 18x9 +35's with only a 245/45 tire, I think I'm going to go (some would say ultra) conservative and look for something in the x10 +45 range. I know weak offsets, but I want 275 or bigger rear tread
.
I think with some rear fender rolling and camber you can get the tires to clear. Might be better than just replacing the tires.

so do you think stretching a tire would give me that much extra clearance?? I can't seem to get them to tuck in anymore with negative camber ![Frown](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
i think if i roll my fenders and pull them just a tad it'd be perfect.
fingers crossed.

Maybe

Keep in mind not all tires are actually the same width. Different manufacturers use different methods to measure the width and some brands have more or less "shoulder".
Some brands of tires are known for being "better" to use for stretching. They have narrower shoulders, thus they allow for more clearance. If the tires you're using have a "rim protector", you're going to be hard pressed to stretch them or get an aggressive fit
