Default Thought this was cool!

In the August 2007 issue of Car and Driver magazine (viol 53 no. 2) there is a last page section titled “Franks Kafka’s Garage”

In a perfect world

How close has a car come to receiving a perfect score in a comparison test?
Conor Jennings
Columbia, Maryland

We’ve never has a test car arrive at our office with Jessica Biel in the passenger seat, So perfection has yet to be reached. Be assured we’re hard to please. We once said that the Lexus Sc400 was “luxocoupe perfection – possible the best car on the planet,” but gave it just 97 points out of 100. Since we switched over to our current, cumulative scoring system in 2003 that rates cars relative to the other cars in the comparison the Ferrari F430 spider came closest with a score of 226 of 240, or 94 percent, in our June 2006 issue.

They definitely know a good car when they see one. That's pretty cool the 1st Gen SC is still being talked and written about after all this time. I remember being in Media Play all the time in the '90s reading all the car magazines and the SC 300/400 would always be on all the Best Car Lists for certain categories, like sport coupe or luxury car/coupe.
