Glassing my own SC kit
I'm gathering parts to glass a mold of my '97-00 kit and modify/extend it from there. I'd like to built it similar to the way the AC kit extends the stock look, but I'm not looking to end up with an AC replica.
I'm creating a rules set for the build. If you have any to add, feel free.
Rule 1- No inductions, vents around the front corners or on the skirts.
Rule 2- Exhaust must integrate into the rear using ports (based on the LS concept, but the not design - no copying. I plan to outsource another brand of vents from perhaps Porsche).
Rule 3- Skirts will bow out slightly to create a small raise down the middle to avoid being perfectly flat. Skirts must roll under at the bottom rather than stick out to create an invisible end to the body line.
Rule 4- Lower valence on the front end will have a larger version of the vent in the nose of the 97-00 bumper. Vent will extend within the size limits of the inside points of the headlights. (side to side) (O|----|O) Front clip must roll under at the bottom rather than stick out to create an invisible end to the body line.

OH, and there's a company called "MaShaw" that makes kits for BMW and they use a special method for strengthening their glass kits to the point they are unbelievably strong. Just the front bumper costs $1500 (had one on my BMW) and the lip is another $450 (had that too). It was nearly unbreakable (but obviously not impossible).
I'll be using their build methods so it will surpass the rather fragile AC kit in strength and rival the ABS kits with ease.

Suscribed. It will be great to see a quality kit with a nice flow for these cars .The ac and vertex are nice kits but cost alot and is very fragile .The strongest most durable ive ever seen was the sard kit .I literally took a hammer to it (my mistake ,not because of the grill 
) and the thing did not even get any spidercracks .The jic kit i purchased for my sc is alot more durable than the ac and vertex but did need modyfing to get perfect fitment. Good luck with the glassing
