Here are pixs of my setup. I'm not to crazy about it, but I also don't hate it.

I used a jdm bracket off ebay. I didn't want to risk getting pulled over by MD's finest and get jacked for the exhaust and tint also just because of the front tag.

Its a bad pic but I bolted two door hinges to the black plastic diffuser behind the bumper then ziptied (blots kept falling out) the plate to the door hinges. At speed on the highway it flips up and can not be seen at speed.

I get pulled over all the time for no front plate. At which time i tell the officer to go look cause its there. Its funny to the looks on their face where the plate is just chillen there.

LOL Sounds fun to screw with the pigs like that. I've always wanted to try driving passed a cop with a root beer bottle in my hand.

I wasn't going to weaken and destroy a bumper by drilling holes in it so I drilled holes in the black plastic air diverter behind the bumper and hung it from there.

My buddy from SoCal keeps his strapped to his sun visor and just keeps the visor down unless he's out on the highway. He has yet to get sweated. AZ is great for that reason. Front plates aren't only not required, but you litterally have to pay extra if you want one.

I do the same thing with my visor. It works. I talked with the cop last time he tried to write me up for no plate, ("He didn't see it") and said that if it can't vibrate loose and can be seen from the front of the car, it is legal. Rubber bands worked fine. Perfect fit. There is a new cop that comes through the the lot that will write me up anyways, so I ziptied mine to the bumper to avoid conflict. Anyone know if I am blocking air to anything important?

With the Zipties, I put some foam and double sided tape on the back to keep it from scratching the paint. Works fine, no vibration.

Default Good Ideas Everyone

I've had my SC300 since July 2007, haven't had the law write me up for that one yet. I just couldn't vandalize my front bumper for the darn plate though. I was thinking of using some springs with hook on them to attach it. Dip the ends in the tool coating vinyl so it wouldn't scratch the paint, add a little foam tape. Either that or start collecting signatures for a petition to have the front plate law dropped in Ohio.

I am going to put two little like small drawer handles epoxied to the back of my plate, then zip tie the handle so in the front thatere is no ties coming thru the holes. It will apear as a floating plate witha chrome frame around it. I havent put my plate on yet but dont feel like getting harrased by police. Luckily my percs are in a bottle with my name on them...lol!
