I walked into an Advance Auto with one of my hood struts and matched it to another and paid 22 (I think) for each. They fit perfectly, even the thread for the screw was the same. I think I put the part number in one of my threads...

Yeah Dean, check out:

If you read that thread, ignore the guy that was talking about his 95 LS400, I think he was in the wrong forum section then others started assuming the LS's must fit the SC's. There should be no confusion, the ones on EBAY are sold as SC400/SC300 hood lift supports and are not the same as LS's.
Good Luck,
Tim

SC Hood lifts / supports from Autozone p/n 95224
I bought a set at AutoZone. They did not show a listing but I matched them up. Its the Mighty Lift brand. P/N 95224. $20. each. Make sure the ones you get have the screw in fittings in the package with the lift or your stuck. You can really get by with one as its plenty stout. Advanced did not have one close enough but they use Mighty Mite brand. My store did not have a big selection. Good Luck. Took all of 5 minutes to swap out.
