A Karmann Ghia, that's what those are! Someone down the street from me has one of those and I couldn't figure out what kind of car it is. It's really beautiful. Theirs is a deep maroon with a tan top and chrome wheels. Very good condition. As a matter of fact these people ALWAYS have a new Lexus in the driveway and Benz and Rover. GS430, SC430, LS430, etc...I think they are a dealer.

Yeah a Karmann Ghia is an elegant and rare car... stock KG are extremely beautiful and timeless in their design too...

The next time you want a good deal on a Lexus, just go ask your neighbors!!!

Maybe I can steal a picture of it next time I am at home. It'll be a couple weeks though. It looks to be in excellent condition, but there is no garage to put it in.

Thanks, Johnny for the comments! It is a pleasure to work on because it is sooooooo easy to mod and do the work yourself... Just basic tools and a few cheap $20 manuals and you are off to VW air cooled bliss!!!

Are you driving the SC much in MI this winter?!

Ikon, here's the Ghia! It didn't seem like anyone was home so I didn't stop in There is a family in my neighborhood that owns a slick black Supra. I've been driving by often to catch them outside.

Ikon, those are Panasports on his neighbor's car, aren't they? That's a very nice example, whereas yours has a large injection of testosterone (oh, estrogen in your case Ikon). Had a friend that used to build up those VW cars, man, talk about bang for your buck, you can approach 200hp for easy money and have a painfully fast whip. So, you been trainin' for me Ikon? Hope your pumped. Have I told you mine's bigger than yours?
