SCs are amazing cars!!!!
It's been a really long time since I last posted here. The reason was that my poor SC was sitting in the garage for 2.5 years without being moved (long story ...).
Anyway, here in Switzerland we have to take our cars to the DMV equivalent every 3 years for a detailed inspection (engine, emmissions, suspension, brakes, lights, rust, cracked windows, leaks and much, much more), or else we lose the license plates. So about a week ago I replaced the battery, said a little prayer , turned the key and ........... the good old Lex started instantly! So I took it for a spin around the block, to see whether there are any unusual noises, strange behaviour but ...... nothing!
Today I had to take it to the DMV and trust me, they take their job very seriously and typically find something they can object to even on virtually new cars. I will never forget the guy's frustrated face after checking the car out for a full 2 hours including test drive and dyno and finding absolutely nothing . This is on a 93 with close to 200k miles on it.
You just have to love Lexus quality

I'm very impressed with Toyota/Lexus quality, too. The slogan "Relentless Pursuit of Perfection" is not just another PR slogan like a lot of other automotive manufacturers have.

Im on my first one, i've owned it for about two years and it hardly gives me any problems. I think the only problem i have had a couple of times is flat tires lol. As for the interior, it does wear out kinda quick but buying new ones or getting supra seats take care of that problem. I got a 92' and my exterior doesn't even show the wear of time. So these are cars that are meant to last to the very end.

my sc is the same too, i treat her nice with all the maintaince, and in return, she keeps running and running and running, no problems at all after more than 1 years of owning her! This is one relationship that is going to last!
