You want us to convince you? Ok get a SC or we will eat your soul! lol seriously though, thats a decision on you can make. For me I just looked at one and what could be done to them and I knew...

You will in a lot of cases have to do some work, such as lower control arm bushings and things of that nature....

I know what you mean. I haven't even diagnosed those problems on the poopra yet.

The infamous REAR END SQUEEK!!! GO TO HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will keep going on my search to find a nice, clean, decent mileage, 5speed, sc300.

Thanks for all the responses.

Dude, just go buy an sc. Trust me. I had a mustang Gt and have to admit it sucked. V8s are cool but i like the efficiency and agility of a inline 6. i got my car and it was in great shape but it looked like an old persons car. anyways $3000 later it's looking more like the type of car that will be parked all hard in front of my house. Daily driving an SC ain't so bad, i daily drive mine and enjoy people looking at my car and givng me props. Plus i didn't just spend $3k just to have it sitting around collecting dust. If it goes past 300k miles ****** it. I'll drop another motor in and have it for another 300k miles. Although i love the supra so much i still wouldn't consider selling my car or trading it for one. It's one of those cars that just feels right when you drive. Good Luck with your decison. If you want even more luxury get a GS300, same 2jz motor except some come with VVT-i but its real confortable and spacious.

I say get one because of this reason...

The SC looks so damn good in every fashion...auto or stick, black or white, modded or stock, moving or not....it looks like a million bucks everyday!

duuuuuuuude- wasn't the video enough?!??!?!

btw - with your Supra up in miles at 160k already, do you REALLY need to worry about the mileage? in your case, if you already have a NA supra (which is sort of like the same car - 2-door coupe, na 2jz, toyota) then I don't think you should get the SC.

for you, getting the SC should be more of a purchase out of passion vs necessity. and that's when you start thinking about all the great SC cars that have graced the pages of CL and needless to say, the SC's gone wild video does a GREAT job at selling the SC.

anyway- here's a quick shot of some hot SC cars that I've noticed on here:

I'm not in Houston....I'm over by Austin, anyway I like the SC because they can be clean and luxurious, but they can also be sporty. It's really up to you, I've got a couple of cars under my belt too, but the SC is the nicest, not the fastest, not the most gasoline friendly, but has been the nicest.
