Yeah, 98 up models have the gated auto shifters. I drive a 5 speed now, not sure how much i would like going back to an auto, but if i'm gonna go for a luxury car, i'd much rather have an auto.

Oh yeah, How are the seats on a daily basis for the SC. I really need lumbar support in my seats.

I was thinking about upgrading my rims after i get it too, thats why i have to take into account my nickels and dimes. Also the stereo system. Headunit, separates, and 2 10's or 1 12. I can do the install myself and save, but I have to worry about total costs. I have a system in my car now I could transfer, but I'm looking at the new Alpine mp3 line thats coming out after the new 7878 model. I dont have enough money to do whatever, but I do have a decent job and if i save I could do all of this and enjoy the fruits of my work...

I like these rims from the pic gallery, I believe they are older Volks

Hahaha, thats what my friend says. But i have owned only 2 cars, 90 integra hatch (loved it, bought used drove for 4 yrs), and my 99 Accord (bought new), both have decent lumbar support. I'm just use it more than anything. Bimmer seats dont come with lumbar unless you get the premium package, but i like the sport seats, so I would have to get it both which empties the pocketbook--thats why i'm really considering the SC, it comes with pretty much everything stock.

Buying a BMW new is a misleading experience, they quote you one price and then when you finally add "carpet, windshield and heat" the car is another price. BMW is notorious for bending alot of people over.

I thought aobut getting a 325 coupe new, but it really isnt worth it. out the door would be about $33k, and thats for a stripper model, no sunroof, with sport seats and the slightly upgraded rims and suspension, fake leather. I will buy a used car mostly likely, unless they come out with a new Japanese coupe from Nissan, Acura that has great styling, one of my favorites is the Nissan Silvia S15 (Australia and Japan only model, my luck )

Hahaha, the only reason i wanted the bimmer was so that i could put the 19'' BBS CH Motorsport Rims on it. The styling is very attractive on that car. I dont see very many newer SC's around, probably because the styling is pretty much 10 yrs old so orginal owners switched over to other cars, rather than to buy the same looking type car. I like SC very much with the clear housings of the rear taillights over the signals, and the stock 5 spoke rims as well.

I don't think I could stand a new car with questionable reliability, which is exactly why I'm here, driving an old SC.
But that's just me,and if you think the BMW styling differences are worth it,then go for it.
I just want to know if that wood shifter will work in my car

5spd4banger, where did you get that interior pic? I am 95% sure that is my car. That was the picture the dealer sent me when I inquired about my car, tacky *** floormats and all. I bought mine sight unseen and requested alot of pics before I made the drive. If you got the pic from someone else, let me know, I am going to razz my salesperson.

I go tthat pic off of ebay. I was looking around at prices and to see what a decnt one would run. I'm pretty sure i'm gonna get one, I have to sell my car and time it right. Need to find the right deal on an SC first though.
