Default 93 to 97+ rear bumper conversion??

I'm trying to do a 97 conversion, and i have read a million things about the front end and the sides, but nothing of the rear bumper, is there any differences? Or are they way too expensive for me to even consider?

Is there anything else i need to install a 97+ rear bumper on my 93 so it flows correctly with my other 97+ parts (Front end, side skirts door moldings)?

Is that bumper even worth buying($250)?? I want my car to flow well, and i want to make sure that all i need to buy is the rear bumper not like rear 1/4 panels etcetera... i've used the search button and have had zero luck, and help would be suggested.

I've wondered but have never been able to confirm that the 97+ rear bumper sticks out slightly farther than the 92-96. Maybe I'm just seeing things or just the angles in pictures..? There are some more obvious differences like that the bottom part of the bumper is lower, which forms a wide, subtle line (like the rest of the 97+ body), whereas the 92-96 just has a single thin line.

Go for it! Why stop at the rear since you've already done the rest, so finish it off. 97+ body is very clean and makes the body look lower than the 92-96.

I'm not sure of the exact differences, but I do know
that the 97+ skirts will not fit the pre-97 rear bumper.

so i have to have the rear bumper to make the skirts fit too?

All these parts are in a nice neat pile in my garage, though i'd love to have them on my SC lol

The 97 rear bumper is molded a certain way to accept the skirts, they will not fit the 92-96 rear bumper and they'll look very weird if you even attempt it. You'll have two small slats sticking down at the rear and a high rear bumper. Never mind the gaping holes at the back of the skirts since they will have no bumper to connect to.

everything is completely different, the 97' front bumper has a grill and is more aggressive than the previous sc bumper, the sideskirts allow your car to look a little bit lower and adds style since the previous sc's were rather plain. The rear bumper and the quater panel extensions do make the car look better, the 92-96 were round and didn't look so good but the 97' rear looks so much better, although i honestly would prefer a kit in the rear and the sides to make my car look lower.
