I just posted on that thread that was linked above...Never know. Thanks guys. It's a perfect candidate for a swap, you're right...but not by me :-)

I have a mustang that I'll do engine work on...not this.

i think people are so weird on this thread, everytime someone ask for opinion to buy a car, peope here always say "its too much" or "i would pay no more than 4000 for it" and yet when its a car that barely runs they ask you to sell it as is for 2500$... if you can buy a good running clean car for 4000 why would you buy one that wont run for 2500? Anyways thats my complaining of the day lol

i say keep it man, it looks clean! just change the tranny, its not a big deal, if you just change the tranny its like 200$ for the tranny and a few more for installation! or just swap it. i would just swap it

That's because everyone on cl is either cheap, broke, in college, young, or prior owners of 240's or hondas who want to get into the 2JZ scene, but can't because they can't afford Supras. They can't afford to buy a car whole, but would rather gradually build up a non-running/problematic car they bought for cheap, with parts in the classified section. How else do you think people like Aliga can part-out 10 cars at a time and still make room to part out even more?

exactly, i hate people who wants to buy cheap/rip ppl off on their car, but wants high dollar for their rides. Nothing's wrong with making money off your cars, but dont go on peoples thread crapping about how the asking price is too high. Yet when it comes to selling their own cars, all the sudden there is a million reason why the car is worth every penny. It's so stupid and unfair to the seller. If you want to do that, please do it to your hondas.

To get back on track, i still think the car is a decent car with non life threatening problems, its getting old and it needs more TLC thats all, replace the parts required and watch it run forever. I love SC's

On the matter., So many people looking for an excuse to do a 1j/2j swap and you want to give up on a perfect looking rolling shell! DO SWAP, LIST CAR FOR DESIRE/MAKE-YOUR-MONEY-BACK-PRICE, ENJOY IT WHILE IT SELLS, BE HAPPY. if you part out i dont think that you will actually make your money back.
