Default to anyone who has parted out (my car is done)

My car just bit it...something big just went on the car today....started bucking violently then it was like the engine disengaged the tranny and that was it. once I came to a stop there was smoke coming from primarily the back passenger side of the engine/under the car. I think the tranny is absolutely gone. The only thing is that in neutral the engine barely starts - idles really rough, then stalls. So I dunno whats going on.

anyway I only paid a little over 3k for the car, and am tired of pouring money into it. I'm tempted to cut my losses and part out...what could I possibly make on this thing? It's a pearl 95 SC 400...it's in pretty goodshape too.

If you have black interior you can get about 1/3 of your money back

dont part it out, sounds like you need a 1jz/2jz swap.
then keep it or sell it and make all your money back + extra

You rarely make money from modding a car and then selling it. Reason being people assume they can do it for cheaper. Or someone will tell them they can get it for cheaper.

Honestly quit while your ahead and part like no tomorrow
yeah thats where I'm at. I agree. I've already put alot of money into parts just to get it running...I don't want another $1 spent on this car. Living in an Apartment complex also makes engine swapping a little tough...I had to do all my other maintenance in the middle of the night (seriously) to avoid letters on my door from nosey neighbors and HOA people.

anyway if you're curious here's the car...

really clean looking chasis, seems like it'd be worth at least 2k for a nice potential swap car for someone else.

Only paid $3000 for it, can't complain I suppose? Perfect chance for a motor/tranny swap

EDIT:

Sell the entire thing whole, don't part it out. My opinion

It's too nice to be parted out. If it was RUSTY or WRECKED then you'd could be forgiven for parting the car..

heh..

Dont part it out, sell it as-is, I think there were actually two people in FL looking for an SC with a blown motor.
