SC400 gremlins any help is appreciated.
Okay, so i purchased my first sc (400) about 4 days ago, and i have encountered a few issues that need to be fixed.. but i'm not sure how.
first.. apparently som of the auto tranny solenoids have gone out, causing it to lag when downshifting (tranny won't kick down easily).
Speedometer doesn't work. previous owner told me it's likely the tailshaft sensor(?).. haven't found many of these used, and a new one is close to $250here in hawaii. any way to test this? But it could be the cluster.
Gauge needles don't light up. (fuel needle glows very dimly). pulled cluster to check bulbs.. decided against opening up electronics..
any help, advice, pointers, etc are greatly appreciated. I can't afford my 1jz swap right now.. and this car is my daily driver.
tach decided to work again! go figure
