I read the first 3 pages and honestly stopped reading.

I use the cruise control whenever possible. My MPG goes up when my foot isnt on the accelerator. haha

I only go to and from work and only make one "non needed trip" a week.

I went from 93 octane to 91.

Coming up in June im going to start keeping track of what I spend on gas and try to get it lower every month there after.

I actually do this as well. I drive 70 miles round trip for work and I found that I average 28-31mpg at approximately 69mph in my SC3 NA... perfect since the speed limit on the highways here is either 60 or 65.

I also try to carpool as often as possible, and I'm thinking about buying a bike, but that's more about having fun than saving money.

I bought my SC4 as a daily driver so i could retire my crx, and integ to track duties only (drag/auto X) and to not have to worry about auto theft but with the horrible gas mileage with the sc and gas prices skyrocketing in socal, i've been leaving my SC in the garage and riding my TREK mtn bike to and from work. My once a week $70 fill ups are now bi-weekly! My g/f like's to tell all her friends that I don't drive... i ride a bike... a bicycle that is haha

I've slowed down alot and adopted some Hypermiling techniques - the less extreme ones.

I've been averaging 25mpg mixed city/highway driving with the SC so far, for what the car is, that's pretty damn good.

Sorry but i find that fit argument funny. 400 Dave has a point. Though the fit is economical , great on gas , and all that jazz . But Insurance , interest on your loan, if you are going to pay to keep the warranty, and just other things. That Fit starts to look pricey. I dunno i kinda figure a motorcycle or a cheap 90-97 teg or 88-95 civic would be the answer. Anything from tire changing to major engine repair on a Honda can be done pretty much with the use of a driveway, oem jack, and a 50 pc set of craftsman tools. Though old , a little bit of love those cars can look good. I miss my old EJ1 . Which is what I'll probably end up purchasing at the end of this month.

Gas prices, what are you going to do about it? Put as much pressure as possible on politicians who won't allow us to explore, drill or refine our own freaking oil reserves.

Definition of a Lib er al:
adj 1: A person so open-minded their brians have fallen out.

I don' think it's a bad idea...
When gas went up I got a meth injection kit and run more boost. Life is too short to worry about the cost of a fillup or drive a ****box.

it's funny. ive had this avitar for a long time and every day it becomes more relevant.

i'm thinking about buying a cheap motorcycle or scooter but might be a little bit since i was hoping to get a better set of wheels, i just don't go through Drive-Thrus much anymore and instead go inside to order, just trying to do little things to save gas, definitely don't rev it as much now
