Thanks, I liked it too. One of the most subtle changes I made that made a huge difference was replacing the stock wing with an aftermarket one. It had a little more flow to it and the oversized round red light V/S the clear square one on the stock wing. Was one of my most favorite things about it. Still have that dang wing... wish I could get rid of it.

Every car I test drive....EVERY CAR!!! I find something I cant stand about it.
All the time I think about dumping it...getting a GTO, CLK55, E500, 540Sport, 330ci, A8, S8, S Type R, TL, RL....I read JD power, Consumer Reports...none compare to the build and quality of Lexus.
Reliability....Audi and Jag....Bwaaaa haaaaaaawww haaaaa!!!!
That's all I need to here to set my mind back. Jump in my car and drive it.
I'm doing 21-24mpg, roughly a tank a week. Sure I could grab a VW or Honda...hell even a Camry and get great gas mileage...Then I would see a SC and wince. I'm still kinda in mourning over getting rid of my Starion ESiR.

Ridiculous!
What a rediculous mentality! I would not park my SC to save a few gallons of gas! I get about 23 mpg and I have a lead foot! If you want to find out what you love, take a look at how much money and time you spend on it. My 1992 SC400 probably Blue Books for no more than $5,000.00, yet I have spent more than twice that to restore her and I am not even close to being done! To think I would take my wife's car instead because I would get 30 mpg does not even cross my mind! What a joke! Gas prices be damned! Premium can go to $10.00 a gallon, and you will still see me driving my black beauty to work and play everyday!

Oh sure, so I can save a whopping $53.00 a tank! A Yaris only gets about 7 mpg more than the SC. 29 mpg city. With your mentality, I would just ride the metro and take an extra hour to get to work just so I can join the tree hugger society and not buy any gas. Oh yea, thats gonna happen!

My SC gets around 18 with a heavy foot. Thats 20 extra miles to the gallon. If gas was really $10 a gallon. it would saves me $468 a month. Even at todays gas prices it saves me $173.12 a month.
Whats that mean, In my spare time between hugging trees I am out buying up all kinds of upgrades for my SC with my savings so it will be a sweeter ride when I do drive it.

I put almost 400 miles a week too and from work on a car, for DD I have a POS 93 Toyota Tercel. It is a manual tranny with no options but air. I gave $500 for it, its ugly as hell, slower than crap, and gets 38 MPG.

I wanna sell this damn thing as soon as I can afford a 2000 SC400 Once I get the '00 I will keep it in the garage next to my E39 Imola red M5 My reason for keeping an SC in the collection is basically because it has a timeless design and I love how it drives, looks, feels, etc. etc. One of the best cars ever built in my opinion.

I've had boosted Porsche 4 bangers with V-8 sized pistons and boosted 2JZ-GE Lexus cars. The pull is nice, but I can't stand driving something that rubber bands into it's power. I need instant torque, which is why I originally chose a V-8 lexus and why I now drive a V-8 Mercedes, which being a german V-8 will set you back in your seat off the line.
I've always enjoyed the kick it sideways and set you in your seat pull of torque off the line more than the get a ticket and slide off the road and die - top end of a boosted car.
