I cut the first set with a pair of heavy duty scissors. The second set I used a razor knife. On both, I used sandpaper to get the edges perfect.

I used a dremel with a very thin cutting bit.

I cut mine with wire cutters which turned out *****ty three times out of four. 95% of the time I cut it, it would cut right on the line, but that 5% of the time it would break off a larger section which would render the whole piece useless. So scissors will do the job better? I'll take mine out and try it again.

CmputerWiz, what grade of sandpaper did you use? Was it coarse or fine?

What kind of glue are you guys using? I use hot glue gun, but it's noticeable up close.

BTW, a heat gun didn't work for me either. It was beginning to damage the paint before I stopped. I removed the orange lens by punching a hole through it with a metal drill bit, then cracking the rest off with small pliers.

Yep, scissors worked much better for me!

The sandpaper was 180grit wet sand paper. IT made the edges really nice and smooth, and still sort of reflective instead of being really dull from coarse paper.

I used "Quick Glue" the first time, I'm going to redo them with silicone next time for a smoother finish on the edges.
