Question Eibach Pro-Kit Springs "do it your self installation" ????

Can it be done? I will be ordering some within a week or 2, dont really want to pay extra money for someone else to do it. Can this task be done at home? IF so what could be the steps in accomplishing this task. If not, how much would i be looking at for installation costs.

Buy/rent a set of spring compressors (all thread with two hooked nuts on each end) and you are golden. You may want to get a pry bar to get the lower control arms to open up and say AHHHHH. Otherwise, you should be set. Unhook the sway bars for easiet removal.

Easy as pie to do if you're mechanically inclined.

1-2 hours a pair if you have the right tools is a good realistic time line.

And no matter what you do, DO NOT try to remove the big bolts that hold on the shock, by pushing your finger thru the hole to get it the rest of the way out. I should have known better. I had it held down with a prybar, so all was good. Then by some stroke of bad luck, the prybar slipped off the strut oh about HALF A SECOND faster than my finger could remove itself from the hole.

Well about 30 minutes later I finished taking the spring off. :/ I had to get my girlfriend to come stand on the rotor to push the entire assembly down, since my finger was bent sideways in it and STUCK. I still got a scar on that finger from it...heh

Yes, get some spring compressors, and it won't be hard. They're like $15 a pair at trak auto. As Clint said, take off the sway bar, it will be MUCHO easier.

At AutoZone Parts, you pay for the spring compressors as if you're buying. Once you're all done, return them for a full refund.
