I have a supra (have owned it for ~7 years) and I was looking for a daily driver manual transmission coupe. For the money I wanted to spend on it the SC was the winner. I also tossed around the idea of a 6-speed Acura Legend coupe (as I owner an older Legend and loved that car) but I wasn't very impressed with the one I drive. I know the reliability of the 2jz/jza cars and I already know a lot about it from wrenching on the supra so I'll be at home with any work I need to do on it.

After doing many hours of research I came to the following reasons to pull the trigger:

1. Lexus Reliability
2. Lexus Luxury
3. Timeless Design
4. The 1992 SC will become a classic collector car in 2012 in my opinion.
5. I wanted a unique whip that I could restore, customize, and keep the rest of my life, and then pass it down to my kids.

One of the best luxury sports car ever made: The UZZ32 with Active Suspension and 4 Wheel Steering!

I bought a Lexus SC because:

Relatively inexpensive, very reliable and the very high quality
I've always wanted a Lexus/nice car
I've always wanted a V8
Slick, clean, timeless and classy design

1 - Mod Potential
2 - RWD
3 - Comfort
4 - Reliability
5 - Original (It's not one of the many wrx's, Si's, is300's I see daily)
6 - Style

Me: "I enjoy working on my cars."

Them: "What kind of car do you have?"

Me: "I own a Lexus"

Never fails to amaze people, especially people that don't realize they could cash in their 02 domestic crap box and own a Lexus.

I bought the car because I needed something after my IS was killed. In school this was one of my "affordable dream cars"

I always drove ****ty cars until I got this one.

It has huge potential, looks great, and sounds good. Bullet proof.

Default why'd i buy my sc

I've wanted one for some time, almost the same potential of an MKiv supra, but cheaper.

I wanted something a little exclusive, and look at that body, soooooooooo sexy! (sorry honey) My sc400 replaced a gutted 240sx, and i haven't regretted it yet, (and i doubt i ever will).

I picked mine up because of the way it was designed. To me, it is flawless and timeless. The kind of stuff that makes a car a TRUE classic and piece of automotive history.
